The richness of mangroves and the abundance of the Pacific Ocean’s marine wildlife converge in a fascinating way in the Utría National Natural Park, which located in the Colombian department of Chocó, in the Nuqui and Bahia Solano municipalities. South of the Utría Cove, foothills covered with thick tropical jungle, semi-hidden in the mist, break into the sea whilst the landscape of the inlet itself changes as the tide rises and falls. 

The Utría Park is a privileged area for nature tourism due to its countless natural attractions, the beauty of its landscapes, the excellent condition of its ecosystems and its great cultural wealth, all part of the unique heritage of the Pacific Region of northern Colombia. Many activities such as trekking & observation of fauna and flora as well as interacting with the local culture are among multitude of activities that visitors can engage in. 

During this day trip you will have the opportunity to discover the natural wonders of this protected area. Please note that the transfer from Bahia Solano may take up to 1,5 hours each way by speed boat and can be bumpy.

Practical information

  • Language: English and Spanish.

  • Included: Traditional lunch – Fish of the day with rice, green banana pancakes and salad. 

  • Remarks/requirements: Loose comfortable clothing with long sleeves and a hat to protect from the sun. Comfortable walking shoes. Waterproof jackets in case of rain, Insect repellent. Changing clothes, swimsuit, snorkelling gear (optional).

  • Walking information: Guest will take a 1,5 hour walk in total through different activities. Most through sandy surfaces and forest trails. 

  • Wheelchair accessible: No.
