Welcome! This is an informal and relaxed evening during which you will not only experience in abundance the local food and wine, but also the traditional warm hearted hospitality of Madeira. Take advantage of the overnight stay in the beautiful port of Funchal and treat yourself to a dinner at one of Madeira's traditional restaurants. The culinary specialty of Madeira is 'espetada' small portions of beef cook over an open fire and served on a large skewer. The highlight of the evening is a demonstration of local folk dancing, a group of dancers -dressed in the colourful traditional Madeiran costumes -, will give a display epitomizing the joie de vivre of a rustic civilization; and you are welcome to join in - the steps are not difficult to master! This is an evening of fun and relaxation.
