This tour start with a panoramic drive on the Apaneca mountain range, where some of the best coffee of El Salvador is harvest,   you will arrive to Chachuapa an area that has been habittated  for olmecs, mayas, Pipiles, and spaniers.  There you will visit the Pyramid of Tazumal and museum the largest pyramid in the country and with some interesting maya developments on construction, after you will visit the city of Santa Ana where you will enjoy a  private folkloric presentation in the famous Santa Ana National Theatre, built during the golden era of the coffee in El Salvador,  and now a landmark in town.  Enjoy free time in the handcraft market.  

On return enjoy the panoramic drive on Coatepeque-Cerro verde road, with beautiful views of Coatepeque lake, Izalco and Santa Ana volcano, before arriving at Acajutla.

Practical information

  • Language: English and Spanish.

  • Included: 1 bottle of water at time of boarding. Chicken fillets, rice, cooked vegetables, glass of soda, café, flan. Or ceasar salad, café, flan. 

  • Remarks/requirements: Appropriate clothing, hat and comfortable walking shoes. 

  • Walking information: Grass, paved areas.  13 steps to the theatre and 10 steps to restaurant.
