This adventure and nature tour, will allow participants to explore the only Portuguese National Park - Gerês! 

Your 4wd vehicle will pick you up at the pier and  take you to Gerês Protected area which covers 70 000ha and is the only one with National Park status due to its natural and cultural value. There are still some places where there visitors can find ecosystems in their natural state, with little human influence, although a humanized landscape. 

You will be able to explore some of its amazing spots, including the famous Arado Waterfalls and the Pedra Bela Viewpoint which has an incredible view over the whole landscape. Also before heading Gerês Spa village enjoy a delicious picnic. 

The Gerês SPA village date back to Roman times, but it was in the eighteenth century that D. João V ordered the construction of the first thermal establishment. You will have some time on your own to visit the village and simply relax.  

Continue to another idyllic location of the park - Caniçada lake, for a last photostop before from the return to the pier.

  • Included: Picnic - Portuguese Bread; Typical Portuguese snacks (Panados, Croquetes, Rissois, Bolinhos de Bacalhau); Custard cream cake; Water, Juice, beer or wine.

  • Remarks/requirements: Appropriate layered clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a hat and a coat. 

  • Walking information: Approximately 0.6 Km (30-50 stairs on the visit to Arado Waterfalls. 

  • Wheelchair accessible: No.
