A historic fort 

Find your way through Fort William H. Seward and interact with locals at four interpretive stations, each highlighting a distinct part of Alaskan history and culture. Along the route, you’ll find a walk-through art exhibit, along with the Alaska Indian Arts Center and buildings found on the National Register of Historic Places. Admire totem poles, a replica Łingít long house, old military equipment, and more.

  • Remarks/requirements: Please wear warm, waterproof layers and comfortable walking shoes. Restrooms are available at the beginning of the tour.

  • Walking information: Involves moderate physical activity on gentle terrain, including some gentle inclines and declines. Approx. 0.6 miles of walking in total.
