Cross over the iconic Churchill Barriers, causeways built to protect the British Fleet anchored in the strategic Scapa Flow during World War II. Hear some of the dramatic stories that took place on this famous stretch of water. 

On Lamb Holm, visit the beautifully hand painted Italian Chapel built by Italian prisoners of war when working on the Churchill Barriers. On South Ronaldsay, enjoy some free time at the typical Orcadian village, St Margaret’s Hope. Wander the village’s charming narrow streets and browse for local crafts.
