This tour  takes place at the historic town of Izalco located on foot of Izalco Volcano , it was an original a Pipil Settlement and later became a Spanish town.   Your  guide  will take you on a walk on  main street with an interesting explanation.   This town has a strong indigen influence on its daily life,   you will  enjoy a  local dance,  indigo dying demonstration and you will have the famous local dish Pupusas cooked over a clay plate.    On this tour you will enter 2 colonial churches,  no exposed shourders, shortpants , mini skirts are allowed.

Practical information

  • Language: Spanish and English.

  • Included: Pupusas (corn tortillas filled with cheese or beans), Yuca with tomato sauce, local candies and tropical fruits.

  • Remarks/requirements: Appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.  Will enter 2 churches therefore shoulders will need to be covered.  No shorts, No miniskirts. 

  • Walking information: Paved and flat walking areas, 500 mts.  10 Stairs to enter church. 

  • Wheelchair accessible: No.
