A place of beauty 

As you explore Kvinnherad Church, your local guide will bring its history to life with enrapturing stories.   

This striking medieval church is distinctively whitewashed, and its architecture is a blend of styles reflecting the church’s long history. Built around 1250, Kvinnherad was once the main place of worship in the region, and came into private ownership around 1678, when it was renovated.

  • Remarks/requirements: Please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. On this tour, guests should make their own way to the church.   

  • Walking or Activity information: Involves moderate physical activity on relatively level surfaces and gentle terrain. Includes approx. 0.5 miles of walking each way.
