Discover the remarkable sites of Oviedo, from Santa Maria del Naranco to the cathedral of San Salvador.
  • Marvel at the pre-Romanesque monuments of Santa María del Naranco and San Miguel de Lillo.

  • See the impressive Convention Center designed by architect Santiago Calatrava.

  • Wander Alfonso the Second Square with its outstanding Gothic cathedral of San Salvador.

  • Explore El Fontán market and square and be immersed in Asturian culture, both old and new.

After a short drive to Oviedo, the capital of Asturias, you’ll head to Mount Naranco, admiring some of the city’s sites along the way. Set on the slopes of the mountain, we’ll visit the pre-Romanesque monuments of Santa Maria del Naranco and San Miguel de Lillo – a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Then a walking tour of the old town gives you the opportunity to explore the Gothic cathedral of San Salvador, followed by a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.

*While we're excited to share the unique flavours of this region with you, it’s important to note that allergy awareness and hygiene standards can vary widely across the world. The local community providing food for this tour may not be as familiar with allergy concerns or preparation standards as suppliers in your home country or the expert chefs onboard our ships. As a precaution, we advise anyone with a severe food allergy to contact a member of the onboard Expedition Team before booking this excursion.
