Hike Portland’s coastline, taking in iconic landmarks with the rugged Jurassic Coast as a backdrop.

  • Learn about Portland stone, which was used to construct many of the UK's most important buildings

  • Visit Portland Bill Lighthouse, and take in the iconic rugged scenery of the Jurassic Coast.


Portland’s highlights 

Hike the sunlit cliffs of Hardy's Wessex after touring one of Britain's most iconic lighthouses, guided by the lighthouse keeper. See the world-famous Fleet Lagoon, as well as the former home of Marie Stopes, the pioneer of birth control. Explore the sculpture park featuring work by British sculptor, Anthony Gormley, and visit one of Britain’s rare Georgian churches. We’ll end our hike at Portland Castle.
