Peaks and green valleys

See the Cova crater, from where the island of Santo Antão was formed. Today farmers cultivate the crater’s mineral-rich fields. Drive along a former trading route, and see goats and farmland on your way. Admire the spectacular green valleys and the tall mountains, towering up to 1979 metres. Visit a local distillery to taste the national drink, Grogue – a rum with the scent of bananas.
