Culture mix

Right next to Sisimiut, is Sallinnguit, also called the Tele Island. Inuits lived here for the past 4.000 years during the winters. Today, you can find artefacts bearing witness to this ancient habitation. The modern telecommunications installations gave the island its Danish name, Tele Ø. Hear how life was here before the advent of the Europeans. See the ruins from different periods and enjoy spectacular views over the town and the ancient hunting grounds.
