Visit the old town centre of Sisimiut and see the beautiful blue church next to the popular photo stop, the whalebone gate. This landmark welcomes you to the Sisimiut Museum, where you can learn about the city’s history and culture. See archaeological artefacts from the Saqqaq people, believed to be Greenland’s earliest inhabitants. You’ll spot guides stationed around the area to help you and provide local insights. Be sure to stop by the local arts and craft workshop to discover some unique pieces.
