Step into the past  

A visit to Cregneash transports you into the past. Explore the isolated village that was one of the last strongholds of the crofters’ way of life. Visit the Village Folk Museum for a fascinating insight into traditional life on the island. Then head to Port Erin to catch the Victorian steam train along the 150-year-old track through lush green landscape to Douglas.

  • Walking information: Approx. 400m at Cregneash, please note the path from coach park to the village is a natural path of grass and soil. Whilst mostly even, care should be taken especially in damp conditions.
