The best way to get to the Isles of Scilly is by taking a ferry. Scilly is located a short way away from Cornwall, but you can also take a scenic Hurtigruten cruise from Dover!

The Isles of Scilly are much more than just a pretty face. There is plenty to do for the active holiday-goer - you just need to know where you’re going!

Visit a sandy beach

You simply can’t visit the Isles of Scilly without visiting some of its beaches. Isles of Scilly Beaches are some of the best you will encounter in the country, and there’s no better way to relax and catch a tan. You may only be in the UK, but the beaches here - especially Pentle Bay - will make you feel like you’re in the Caribbean.

Meet some wildlife

The range of wildlife in the Isles of Scilly make it a must-see for animal lovers. Stay watchful and you can catch all manner of wildlife, from dolphins to whales and seals. If you are into bird watching, it’s time to whip out your trusty binoculars - up to 400 different kinds of species have been seen on the island!

Smell the roses

The beauty of Scilly is not restricted to its stunning beaches and wildlife. There is a range of gorgeous plantlife to discover, particularly its rich daffodil fields. If you need any more proof, take a visit to Tresco Abbey Gardens - a world-famous tropical garden that is home to more than 20,000 different plants. Surrounded by palm trees and exotic plant life, this is what paradise must look like.

Sure, you might go to the Scilly Isles for its relaxed pace of life. But if you ever crave something a bit more strenuous, this is the perfect place to get out and about. These landscapes are made for walking, and you can also take part in exciting outdoor activities like water sports and windsurfing!

Soak up some British history

If you are looking for something a bit different, why not learn a thing or two on your trip to the Isles of Scilly? Tresco is home to several historical sites, with loads of impressive castles to spot around the island. Don’t miss out on seeing Cromwell’s Castle, a fortification that has been around since 1651.
