Start this walking tour of Funchal with a visit to the bronze statue in the gardens of the Pestana Casino Park Hotel. Continue towards Santa Catarina Park, which offers a lovely view over Funchal Bay. Next, visit Blandy's Wine Lodge, stop outside Funchal Cathedral, and then on to the local market. The last stop is Santa Maria Street in the old town, known for its narrow cobbled streets.

Walking information: Approximately 5km. Guests have to go up a street in order to access the statue of Empress Sissi. There is a descent to the Santa Catarina Park and the rest of the walk is on levelled paved and cobblestone pavement
