Journey to the volcano top
Starting with a bus tour from Grundarfördur, we’ll drive to the base of Snæfellsjökul volcano, from where a Snowcat will take you to the summit. Topped with a glacier, Snæfellsjökull is a spectacular location that perfectly fits Iceland’s nickname ‘The Land of Fire and Ice’, and also inspired part of Jules Verne’s famous novel, ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’.

Remarks/requirements: Please wear comfortable walking shoes. This tour takes place at altitude and over glacial ice, so warm clothing is essential, including a hat and gloves. Transfer time is approx. 2 hrs each way. Please note, this tour is weather dependent. Guests are kindly asked to observe the guide’s instructions at all times.
