Historic sites revealed  

Heimaey is part of Vestmannaeyjar – an archipelago rich in history and natural beauty. On a guided walk you’ll visit Skansinn, a replica of a fort built on the orders of a Danish king. Admire the wooden church and Landlyst, one of Heimaey’s oldest buildings, then walk to see lava formed during Eldfell’s volcanic eruption before visiting the Sagnheimar Folk Museum in the town centre.
