A piece of paradise
On this tour, a boat ride takes you through the tranquil channels surrounding the island of Escudo de Veraguas. Rich in biodiversity, we’ll scan the lush, forested shoreline for endemic wildlife such as the pigmy three-toed sloth.
We’ll pause at one of the many pristine sandy beaches to relax and cool off with a swim, and we'll meet the Ngäbe people who come to the island to fish for lobster and octopus in the turquoise waters.
Practical information
Remarks/requirements: Please wear swimwear and shoes that can get wet. Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses are also recommended.
Walking or Activity information: Involves limited physical activity, most of the tour is operated by vehicle. Includes approx. 45 yds of walking on sand.
