Planned Itinerary
Day 1: Overnight in Reykjavík
Upon arrival in Iceland's capital, you'll check in to your hotel for the night. If you have time, enjoy the rest of the day and explore the many things to see and do in this charming city.
Day 2: Golden Circle Tour
After breakfast, you'll begin your full-day Golden Circle tour. We'll visit UNESCO-listed Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, a fascinating site of geological and historical significance. Enjoy a walk in the glorious volcanic landscape, and stand where two tectonic plates meet. The tour continues over the Lyngdalsheidi heath into the fertile farmlands of the south, where you´ll have a tasty lunch.
After, you'll travel to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls, and see the spouting geysers of the Geysir Geothermal Area, where the most active hot spring, Strokkur, spouts every few minutes. You’ll return to Reykjavík for another overnight stay, which is included in your expedition cruise to Greenland.
Please note we might visit these sights in a different order.
