Waterfalls and mountains 

On this hiking tour, you’ll be immersed in the natural beauty of the breathtaking Icelandic landscape.  

This guided hike takes you through the Vesturdalur valley – a protected nature reserve with remarkable but vulnerable flora. You’ll hike towards the ruins of the abandoned town of Vesturdalseyri and continue through the valley past a series of enchanting waterfalls, which create the perfect backdrop for memory-capturing photographs.

Practical information

  • Language: English.

  • Remarks: This tour is very strenuous and is considered a demanding hike. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking this tour.

  • Requirements: Dress warmly and in layers, outer layer waterproof and windproof. Good, sturdy shoes with a non-slip sole are absolutely vital, preferably hiking shoes. 

  • Wheelchair accessible: No.
