Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø 

Your Pre-Programme begins with an overnight stay at a centrally located hotel in Tromsø. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. 

Day 2:  Tromsø city tour 

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a guided tour around the city of Tromsø – often called the ‘Gateway to the Arctic’. 

Your knowledgeable local guide will meet you at your hotel before your day begins with a leisurely walking tour of Tromsø's charming streets. Admire the architecture, soak in the vibrant atmosphere, and listen to captivating stories about the city's rich history and culture from your guide. 

Next, a bus transfer takes you to one of Tromsø's most iconic landmarks—the cable car. Enjoy a scenic ride up the mountain, soaking in soul-stirring vistas across the rugged landscape and fjords. At the summit, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the mountain-top restaurant, surrounded by panoramic views. 

After lunch, we’ll head back down to the city to visit the renowned Arctic Cathedral. The striking design, which resembles a Sámi tent, is a masterpiece of modern architecture. Learn about the building's significance to the local community with your guide. 

As the day draws to a close, you’ll be transferred to the port where your expedition ship awaits.
