Pico dos Barcelos provides breathtaking views of the island’s southern coast, including the surrounding villages and Funchal in the distance.
  • Visit Pico dos Carcelos.

  • Fishing village of Camara de Lobos

  • Photo ops

  • Breathtaking views

Leaving the pier, you will proceed towards Pico dos Barcelos, where you can see Funchal in the distance and the surrounding villages scattered over green slopes. From here, you will be taken by car to Camara de Lobos, a well-known fishing village used by Sir Winston Churchill to create beautiful island paintings. You will stop for photos at Pico da Torre Viewpoint, which features views of the red-tile roofs of houses clustered on the rocky point and brightly painted fishing boats anchored in the harbor.

Your tour will then proceed to Cabo Girão, the highest sea cliff in Europe and the second highest in the world. Soaring 1,900 feet, its etched face tells the tale of its volcanic origins. From this impressive promontory, you will have breathtaking views of the island’s southern coast. Before returning to your ship, you will have free time to wander the streets of the charming city of Funchal.
