Visit Pazo de Oca, a gorgeous building from the 17th century. The facade of the pazo (Galician estate house), along with the chapel and the separate small houses around, form a splendid and stately visit. This beautiful pazo has a nice galleria and an aqueduct that diverts water from the local brook to the stately mansion. In the gardens, stroll by the pools, laundry area, and mill, where we can find swans, ducks and geese. These gardens also contain boxwood, a shrub whose wood produces the best Galician smoking pipes. They feature magnolias, disks, a giant cryptomeria japonica, and camelias. We will also stroll along 330 yards of linden trees.
At Pazo de Ribadulla, these gardens are completely different, as Pazo de Oca was built in French style and Pazo de Ribadulla in English style. There is a small pond at the entrance, with a Virginia tulip tree and a nice waterfall in the middle of the forest.
