A Piece of Paradise
On this tour, a boat ride takes you through the tranquil channels surrounding the richly biodiverse island of Escudo de Veraguas. We’ll scan the lush, forested shoreline for endemic wildlife like the pigmy three-toed sloth.
We’ll pause at one of the many pristine sandy beaches to relax and cool off with a swim, and we'll meet the Ngäbe people who come to the island to fish for lobster and octopus in the turquoise waters.
Practical information
Remarks/requirements: Please wear swimwear and shoes that can get wet. Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses are also recommended.
Walking or Activity information: Involves limited physical activity; most of the tour is conducted by vehicle. There is approximately 45 yards of walking over sand.
