Panoramic drive across the mountains.
On this short trip, you can experience the unique island of Santo Antão and reach one of the greenest spots in Cape Verde.
A 4x4 vehicle will bring you up the highest mountains to see the most dramatic landscapes.
There will be several stops for photo along the way.
We will start driving to Lagedos and we will stop to admire the views over the canyon. Your next stop is at the village of Sírio. From here, you can enjoy views over the valley, Chã do Norte, and Ribeira das Patas. The drive continues through a canyon with fantastic basalt/lava columns. We will stop at a small black-sand beach with rare rock formations, pass by the village of Chã do Norte to take photos of the fantastic views over the cliffs, and finish our route with a stop at Chã de Feijoal for a drink in a tiny grocery store.
While crossing the volcanic plateau surrounded by craters, you will also stop for a nice picnic. Next comes the north summit, featuring views of Topo da Coroa, Santo Antão’s summit at 6,470feet. Then, we’ll start our return trip back to the pier.

Remarks/requirements: Appropriate clothing (a sweater or coat is recommended as temperatures will change during the ferry ride back). Comfortable walking shoes.
