Itinerary for your Post-Program

Day 1: Seward to Anchorage 

After the end of your expedition cruise, you’ll be transferred from Seward to Anchorage, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. 

Day 2: Denali from Anchorage 

After a night in Anchorage as part of your expedition cruise, you will travel to Denali NationalPark, one of the world’s greatest wildlife preserves. On the way we'll visit the sled dogs atHappy Trails Kennel. You’ll take a virtual trip along the Iditarod trail, watch a dog sleddemonstration and grab some all-important puppy playtime. When we reach the park,you can join optional activities or simply soak in the views. We’ll spend the night in a parklodge.

Day 3: Discover Denali National Park 

You’ll travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Bus andsearch this vast wilderness for bears, moose, caribou and Dall sheep. This five- to six-hourjourney is narrated to provide unique insight into the flora andfauna of this spectacular region. Together with your guide, you’ll also explore the Denaliarea during an approximately two-mile moderate hike. A snack will be provided onthe tour. Please note that the tour duration may vary due to weather and road conditions.There will be an overnight stay at a lodge at the Denali Park entrance. We recommend you bringyour own refillable water bottles, as you may find water stations along the way.

Day 4: Denali National Park to Anchorage 

After breakfast you’ll enjoy a scenic luxury dome railjourney from Denali rail depot to Anchorage. Take in the panoramic views across threestriking mountain ranges. Once we arrive in Anchorage, we’ll spend one last night in a comfortable, welcoming hotel.

Day 5: End of the adventure 

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel as your Post-Program adventure comes to a close. 

Please note that we sometimes visit sites in a different order. 

If you travel in May, due to weather conditions, we’ll take a shorter tour to the Toklat River for a sub-Arctic experience and incredible scenery. A boxed snack and hot beverages will be provided.

Included  

  • Two nights at a hotel in Anchorage and two nights at a lodge at the Denali Park entrance with breakfast. 

  • Private transportation with an English-speaking driver/guide. 

  • Luxury dome railcar passage from Anchorage to Denali with lunch, two alcoholic beverages, excursions and admission fees as described.  

  • Guided Tundra Wilderness Bus tour at Denali National Park.  

  • One boxed lunch, regular gratuities for driver and guides, applicable taxes and fees.

  • Meals, unless specified. 

Remarks and requirements 

  • This tour is available as a Post-Program in combination with your expedition cruise ending in Seward/Anchorage. 

  • This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. 

  • Minimum number of participants: 10. 

  • If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the land adventure up to six weeks before departure. 

  • Bringing your own refillable water bottle is recommended.
