Planned itinerary pre-program

Day 1: Arrive in Anchorage

Enjoy an overnight stay at a hotel in Alaska’s charming city of Anchorage.

Day 2: Anchorage to Denali National Park

You will travel from Anchorage to Denali National Park in a deluxe dome railcar, enjoying panoramic views across three striking mountain ranges. At more than six million acres, Denali is one of the world's greatest wildlife preserves. When we reach the park, you can join an optional adventure or simply soak up the views. We’ll spend tonight in a nearby lodge.

Day 3: Discover Denali National Park

Travel deep into Denali National Park today on the Tundra Wilderness Bus and search the vast wilderness for bears, moose, caribou and Dall sheep. This five- to six-hour journey is narrated to provide unique insight into the flora and fauna of this spectacular region. Together with your guide, you will also explore the Denali area during a moderate hike of approximately two miles. A snack will be provided on the tour. Please note that the tour duration may vary due to weather and road conditions. At the end of your exciting day, you’ll spend the night at a lodge at the Denali Park entrance. We recommend you bring your own refillable water bottles. You may find water stations along the way.

Day 4: Denali National Park to Anchorage

On the way back to Anchorage, we'll stop at Happy Trails Kennel, home to dozens of sled dogs. You’ll take a virtual trip along the Iditarod trail, watch a dog sled demonstration, and grab some all-important puppy playtime. You’ll also enjoy a light packed lunch before we return to Anchorage, where you will spend the night before your expedition begins the following day.

Please note that we sometimes visit sites in a different order.
