The short mile walk
Join this fascinating pier walk to a picturesque lighthouse from 1902. The granite stone pier is almost a mile long, so be sure to bring good walking shoes. The lighthouse is built of red bricks. Attached is the keeper’s white house with green shutters, typical for this area. As you walk this small mile away from land, scout for shorebirds and harbour seals.
