The Folgefonn Centre in the village of Rosendal holds Tourist information, The Folgefonna National Park visitor centre, and the old shipbuilding museum "Skaalurensamlinga".  

Interactive exhibitions tell the story of the glacier, Folgefonna National Park, aquatic life in the Hardangerfjord, the world’s water cycle, sustainable use of natural resources, climate, and climate change.  

  • Why did people settle here 9000 years ago, and how did they survive? 

  • How does climate change affect life in the fjord?  

  • What is the connection between the ocean, the weather, and the glaciers? 

  •  Learn more by a visit to the Folgefonn centre.
