Hike through the paths from Sal Rei toward Cabo Santa Maria.
  • Sia Rei – Local ambience on Boa Vista

  • Walk along the paths and visit Capela de Fatima and Ponta Do Sol Lighthouse from the outside.

  • Reach Cabo Santa Maria and see the remains of a shipwreck.

  • Enjoy free time and a refreshment before returning to Sal Rei.

Sal Rei is a colorful village with European inspiration. It shows evidence of a rich commercial past, when the island exported salt, dyes for textiles, cotton, cattle, lime, and pottery in large quantities.

Your tour begins at the center of Sal Rei.

Walk toward the paths that lead to the Capela de Fatima, where we will stop for photos and enjoy dramatic views from the top of the hill. Catch your breath and continue toward Ponta do Sol and the lighthouse, where you will have a short break for pictures. Then, we continue walking toward our final stop, the famous beach at Cabo Santa Maria. The long beach at Cabo Santa Maria will delight you with its peace and quiet. From there, you can observe (from a distance) the well-known remains of an old ship that has been stranded on the beach for decades. Our team will prepare some refreshments before we return to the vessel in the comfort of a bus on a panoramic drive.
