There’s no better way to take in the landscape of the Falklands than by air! Come fly with us in one of our five twin-engine Britten-Norman Islander aircraft, operated by the Falkland Islands Government Air Service (FIGAS). You will be collected from the pier for a 15-minute drive down to the airport, where you will be met by your pilot.

Your pilot will give you a full preflight safety briefing and issue you a complimentary scenic air tour booklet, which provides information on the sights you may see, plus a brief history of FIGAS. You will also receive a map with points of interest. On the plane, each passenger will have a headset to hear the pilot and converse with each other. Your flight will last approximately 35 minutes. This adventure will give you a taste of the rugged mountainous terrain, wild landscapes, and the natural coastal beauty of this part of the Falkland Islands.

A few places of interest you may see include Stanley and its harbor, Gypsy Cove, Cape Pembroke Lighthouse, the Lady Elizabeth shipwreck, Kidney Cove, Port Louis, Mount Tumbledown, Longdon, Two Sisters and Harriet, rock formations locally known as ‘stone runs’, Fitzroy Farm, and Bluff Cove Lagoon. Photos are permitted on the flight. If you have a keen eye, you may spot whales, dolphins, or even an albatross in flight. Upon your return to the airport, you will have the chance to see an exclusive range of FIGAS Scenic Air Tour souvenirs before you return to the pier.
