  • Enjoy the best of Santiago and witness the city’s iconic sights, including Plaza de Armas and La Moneda Palace.

  • Experience rich Chilean culture, both historic and contemporary.

  • Revel in the panoramic views of Santiago and the Andes beyond from the top of San Cristóbal Hill.

  • Admire the local arts and crafts at the handicraft market of Pueblito los Dominicos.

Itinerary for your Pre-Program

Starting at your hotel, this guided bus tour will take you downtown first; you’ll pass Plaza de Armas, Santiago’s main square. Here, you’ll see the striking 18th-century Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and the National History Museum, which is housed in the former royal court. Then we’ll pass La Moneda Palace, the Neoclassical government offices that were once the royal mint.

Our next stop is San Cristóbal Hill. At 2,900 feet above sea level, from here you can relish the soul-stirring panoramic views of both the city and the magnificent Andes Mountains beyond. Before heading back to your hotel, we’ll stop at the handicraft center of Pueblito los Dominicos, where you can browse the local arts and crafts and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two.

At the end of the tour, we’ll return you to your hotel, where your excursion ends.

Please note that we may visit sites in a different order.
