Explore one of Canada’s most remote islands, and see wild horses and grey seals among the dunes.
  • Visit this remote windswept and unpopulated island off the coast of Nova Scotia

  • Experience its raw nature and untamed wildlife, like the famous Sable Island horses and grey seals

  • Guides and naturalists will provide fascinating insights into how the animals have adapted to the tough conditions

  • Learn about the shipwrecks that surround the island, sometimes called the ‘graveyard of the Atlantic’

Walk the dunes

Experience Sable Island National Park Reserve, one of Canada’s most remote islands, in the North Atlantic. Only accessible by air and sea, the windswept sandbank is home to the famous Sable Island wild horses. It also has the largest breeding colony of grey seals in the world. On this attempted landing, you'll tour the dunes with the Parks Canada staff and learn about this rarely visited island, where nature has adapted to the weather conditions.
