Departing from the town pier the local launch will travel around the coastline of the adjoining island of Santa Catalina arriving at Crab Cay which is a small island located on the eastern side of Providencia immediately offshore
Guests disembark on to a wooden jetty where National Parks staff will conduct a short briefing and supply any snorkelling equipment required. The guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their time at leisure on the cay and they can decide if they want to participate on a guided snorkelling tour around the Cay for beginners, swim from the wooden platform or walk to the peak of the cay for spectacular views of the surrounding sea and Providencia Island.
The waters are crystal clear or turquoise depending on the depth of the water, but this is an ideal location for beginners and for leisure swimming.
During the time at the Cay, you will have an opportunity to try and taste traditional snacks and refreshments
Then, board your motorboat and continue with the second part of your tour, the boat will stop at a very convenient spot for snorkelling behind Morgan’s head. This spot is perfect for beginners due to the low currents and depth. Enjoy a 30-minute snorkelling activity and board your motorboat for the

Remarks/requirements: Walking shoes or sneakers, seashoes, swimsuit, hat/cap, sunglasses, suggested to bring own snorkelling set if available.
Walking information: Very limited. Going up to the Peak at Crab Cay is not allowed for guests with walking difficulties.Guests should be agile enough to board/unboard the motorboat and also to Jump in the water and board the launch using a steel ladder on the second snorkelling stop which could be optional.
