Our ambition is to be the most sustainable expedition company in the world. See how we progressed in 2023.
Our ambition is to become the world’s most sustainable expedition company, and this report is an expression of our commitment, both in the industry-leading transparency it represents and in the actual results we have achieved over the past year. We still have a way to go, but we continue to make significant progress each year and are proud to be on the right track—a fact that has been formally recognized by our industry-leading ranking in Sustainalytics' 2023 ratings.
In Summary, We’re on the Right Track!
Emissions
In 2023, we have:

Increase in women in senior leadership positions on sea

Foundation
We are immensely grateful to our guests for their contribution in making 2023 a record-breaking year for donations to the Hurtigruten Foundation. In total, they donated €830,682—a 127% increase from 2022. This has contributed to projects such as:

Investigating Humpback Whale population health in Antarctica
Protecting Coral Reefs in Panama Through Local Stewardship
Removing Hazardous Waste from Abandoned Whaling Stations on South Georgia
