Visit the place where injured birds are nursed back to health so they can find their wings again.
  • Enjoy a narrated bus ride to the Alaska Raptor Center, where eagles relearn how to fly.

  • Get the chance to watch eagles up close in the Center’s Natural Eagle Habitat enclosure.

  • Participate in a hands-on raptor demonstration to learn about their history and habitat.


Eagle Rehabilitation 

At the Alaska Raptor Center, professionals and volunteers rescue birds and provide them with rehabilitative care with the aim of releasing them back into the wild. Enjoy a presentation with one of their educational birds before going to see the flight center, clinic window, and outside deck habitat areas. Visit the gift shop to find the perfect souvenir for your bird-loving friends back home.

  • Remarks/requirements: Restrooms and a gift shop are available inside the Raptor Center 

  • Language: English 

  • Walking information: Guests must walk on sidewalks, gravel, and a wood boardwalk for an eighth of a mile.  

  • Wheelchair accessible: Yes, but 24-hour notice is needed for an accessible bus.
